You will wonder how you missed this taste treat for so long! Amy was trying to figure out what to do with her cake top trimmings, so she make some ‘cake burgers’ by slapping two slabs together with a big dollop of icing or cream filling to hold it in place. The family (Dad and 3 sons) had been enjoying this ‘Recycling’ for some time, but finally Amy put some on display so she could share with everyone.
A customer looked at them and said “That’s a Whoopie Pie”, and sure enough, these had been around for some time in the New England and Amish areas of our great nation.
